Who We Are

The Next Generation is a volunteer organization founded to benefit The Children’s Hospital at Memorial University Medical Center. The Next Generation is comprised of young professionals, neighbors, parents, and friends throughout Savannah and the Coastal Empire who are interested in donating their time, talents, and financial resources to the patients and families of The Children’s Hospital at Memorial University Medical Center.

Our Mission

To foster a positive healthcare experience for our community’s children and further educate parents on children’s healthcare matters through fundraising, volunteer service, and educational outreach.

Our Vision

Our vision is to brighten the everyday lives of children and their families during their stay at The Children’s Hospital of Savannah.  We seek to create a warm and cheering atmosphere in the hospital to bring comfort to sick children and their families during such a difficult time.

This vision will be pursued by providing 100 percent of our net funds raised through events and corporate and member contributions to support The Children’s Hospital’s services and programs that are part of the five-year fundraising plan of The Children’s Hospital at Memorial Health. The Next Generation is dedicated not only to fundraising but to volunteer service and meeting the community’s educational needs.

  • We strive to educate our community through partnerships with local children’s health programs and by providing educational content on our website.
  • We seek to spread awareness and act as ambassadors to the community promoting The Next Generation’s mission and enhancing awareness to all of the surrounding communities The Children’s Hospital serves.
  • We want to increase our active volunteer base so they may share their collective resources to benefit the children and their families who are patients of The Children’s Hospital.
  • We plan to continue our community and corporate partnerships as well as build new partnerships with all of the communities that The Children’s Hospital serves.
